5 Incredible 90’s Songs You Might Have Forgotten About

Do you remember the 1990’s?  Super Nintendo, Game Boy, Pogs, Tomagochi, and more… We wanted to share a little 90’s nostalgia with you and remind you about these 5 amazing songs from the 90’s.  Do any of these bring back memories for you?

1.) Roll To Me – Del Amitri (1995)

Roll To Me by Del Amitri was released in 1995.  The song became their biggest hit in the United States when it reached number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.  The song was heard in TV shows and movies including Beavis and Butt-head, Second Noah, Family Guy, Dating the Enemy, One Day, Hindsight and the trailer for the 1996 remake of Flipper.

2.) Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Deep Blue Something (1995)

Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Deep Blue Something was released in 1995.  It was the band’s only hit, peaking at number five on the Billboard Hot 100.  The music video features the band members arriving to a breakfast table and being served by butlers, beside the curb in front of Tiffany & Co. in Midtown Manhattan. At the end of the video a young woman dressed like Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn’s character from the film) walks past on the sidewalk, and takes off her sunglasses.

3.) Crash Into Me – Dave Matthews Band (1996)

Crash into Me by Dave Matthews Band was released in 1996.   It reached number 7 on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart in March 1997. The song was nominated for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals at the 1998 Grammy Awards.  On VH1 Storytellers, Matthews stated that the song was written from the perspective of a voyeur watching a girl at night through her bedroom window.

4.) Motownphilly – Boyz II Men (1991)

Motownphilly by Boyz II Men was released in 1991.  The song was a debut single for their debut album Cooleyhighharmony. The single was a success peaking at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100.  The song title etymology involves a combination of two of the group’s main musical influences: 1960s Motown and 1970s Philly soul.

5.) Return Of The Mack – Mark Morrison (1996)

Return of the Mack by Mark Morrison was released in 1996.  It was released in the United Kingdom in March 1996 and topped the UK Singles Chart a month later. It reached the number-one spot on the UK Singles Chart in April 1996 and number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in June 1997 for one week behind “MMMBop” by Hanson, and went Platinum.
