Ever since the conception of the social networks, pets have become just as famous as, if not more than, humans. It is an amazing fete to see these wordless creatures gain fame simply by their actions or their cute looks. Take these cats for instance. They have gained more than 122k followers on Instagram. Meet Xafi And Auri
Xafi and Auri are two American Type Russian Blue cats. They have a silky silver fur and an overall charming nature. The most captivating feature of their face is their captivating green eyes and a mysterious smile.
The Sisters Look Like Twins
While the two cats look like twins, the case is quite different. Xafi was born in April 2016 and is an year older than Auri. They are the pets of Annaken and Time, both based in UK.
Distinguishing Between The Two
Time and Annaken say, “Auri has a rounder face, wider ears, and slightly darker fur. Xafi has a more angular face with slightly taller ears. Their “Meow†is also distinctly different as is the way they both move and act. Auri also looks a lot more muscular and toned even though they are exactly the same weight: 3.5kg.â€
They Are Quite Different From Each Other
While they may look the same, there are a lot of differences in their personalities. Xafi is on the affectionate and snuggly side while Auri likes to play and is a bit mischievous. The latter has also earned a nickname “Kleptocat” because she likes to steal things in front of her.
The Nature Of The Cats
“Xafi is human-oriented where Auri is independent. Auri is athletic where Xafi is clumsy. Xafi is loudly demanding when wanting cuddles whereas Auri asks in a very gentle and quiet way to get a fuss. But both are just the most loving and sweet girls I’ve ever known,†Anneken explains.
Their Different Temperaments
Since they are different from each other in nature, their modelling for their Instagram page is also affected. Auri likes to be the center of attention and has mastered the poses while Xafi shies away from the camera.
The Challenge Of Photography
“It took me quite a while to develop the skills to photograph cats. Capturing photos of the two together is very challenging. We use treats and toys to try and get them to pose and look into the camera. I do less and less of those types of photos now – I prefer capturing them in their natural environment now just doing their cat-things,†said Anneken.
The New Member Of The Family
Tim and Anneken adopted a Somali cat by the name of Errol in the summer of 2018. They were skeptical about the dynamics at first but Errol fit in perfectly with Xafi and Auri.
Errol The Purr Machine
Errol also got a personal page on Instagram and he gained quite a lot of popularity as well. His bio reads “purring meowing eating machine with endless energy and slobbery tendencies”.
The Happy Family
The accounts are managed by Tim and Anneken together and they have shared the responsibilities to make their pets famous. Tim manages Errol while Anneken manages both Xafi and Auri.
